This policy explains what information ThanniCan collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. ThanniCan is operated by Innovait Systems.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run water-can ordering, delivery and billing:
- Account details — your mobile number (used to sign in with a one-time password sent by SMS or WhatsApp), your name, and — for vendors — your business name and profile.
- Addresses & location — delivery addresses you add, and, with your permission, your device location to find nearby vendors and support deliveries. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings.
- Orders & account activity — orders, deliveries, quantities, prices, running balances (khata), invoices and statements.
- Payments — payment amounts, methods and references, and any payment-proof screenshots you choose to upload. We do not store full card details; online payments are handled by our payment processor.
- Device & technical data — a push-notification token, app version, and basic diagnostic logs needed to keep the app working.
How we use your information
- Provide and operate the app — orders, deliveries, billing and khata.
- Send transactional notifications (order updates, payment reminders) and OTPs.
- Connect vendors and customers so an order can be fulfilled.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Protect against fraud, abuse and security incidents.
- Improve the app and comply with legal and tax obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Between vendors and customers — to fulfil an order, a vendor and customer can see the details necessary for it (such as name, delivery address, phone number and order/payment information).
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, including SMS/OTP delivery, payment processing, maps and geocoding, cloud file storage, and push notifications. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. Transaction and billing records may be retained longer where required for accounting, tax or legal purposes. See Delete account to request deletion.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- View and update your profile and addresses in the app.
- Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
- Request deletion of your account and data — see Delete account.
Children
ThanniCan is intended for business use by adults (18+) and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
